Edskipper: Jobs for Educators (9/29/23)

Thank you for reading the EdSkipper, Skip’s newsletter about skipping from education to education-aligned careers. Every Saturday, I send out a list of curated remote jobs. Premium subscribers receive two additional emails a month with industry insights and advice to help you apply more competitively to the jobs you’re passionate about.

After a very long summer of sluggish job postings, the last two days have been a whirlwind of jobs.

I’ve been seeing both news of layoffs and a lot of sales jobs. Sales jobs are a fantastic leading indicator of company confidence and expansion but layoffs also highlight how the industry is starting to consolidate around a new post-Esser-funding normal.

Some companies are going to go bust, either slowly or all at once. Other companies will thrive in the vacuum that’s created.

Look this week for a longer newsletter sharing industry insights into the current health of the edtech market and advice on how to weather the coming challenges.

~I hope you find some fantastic jobs to apply to this weekend,
Chelsea
