Skip's Edtech Jobs: January 20, 2024

Thank you for reading the EdSkipper, Skip’s newsletter about skipping from education to education-aligned careers. Every Saturday, I send out a list of curated remote jobs. Premium subscribers receive two additional emails a month with industry insights and advice to help you apply more competitively to the jobs you’re passionate about.

A few years ago, back when I was still teaching, my husband had the opportunity to present at a conference in Denmark. I wanted to join him and make a trip of it, but I couldn’t take a week off from teaching randomly.

Fast forward to working remotely. When my husband had a work trip to Boston this week, I decided to come along.

I’ve spent most of the week working on the train (very bumpy), in a coffee shop next to the public gardens (I miss coffee shops where I don’t know everyone), and in our hotel room (I tried the lobby but they have a band on Friday nights…).

It’s been delightful to have a change of scenery, see tall buildings, and we’ve had some really delicious food! But it’s also been exhausting trying to balance working and sightseeing and shopping (my winter boots sprung a hole right when winter started…).

But after I hit send, I’m off to the Harvard museums. They have an amazing collection of glass flowers. Then we’ll hop on the train back home. I’m looking forward to some uninterrupted work time!

~I hope you find some fantastic jobs to apply to this weekend,
Chelsea
